To all those internet savvy and in-the-know types, here is a site worth adding to your bookmarks. The California Energy Commission created an Appliance Efficiency Database. Next time you, your friend, or your neighbor is in the market for a new appliance you will know just the place to find a top of the line, energy saving product. Solar Santa Monica added Energy Efficiency and Home Improvement Resources to complement our Preferred Solar Contractors. In the course of our program's outreach to the community, we receive many requests for qualified, pre-screened local and regional contractors. This network represents a myriad of contracting specialties. Energy efficiency starts with big and small home improvement projects.
The contracting services listed in our Business Specialist Network include: Appliances, Doors & Windows, Data Centers, Electrical, Green Building Construction, Home Performance Testing, Hot Water Heaters, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning), Insulation, Landscape Design, Lighting, and Roofing.
Participants of the Solar Santa Monica program who take advantage of the Business Specialist Network will be asked to rate and review the products and services provided. If you are a contractor and wish to become a member of our network, please complete this application and fax to (310) 395-2138.

*Solar Santa Monica has assembled a referral network of contractors (“Specialists”) that specialize in energy efficiency and other home-improvement work. These Specialists have skills in plumbing, roofing, air conditioning and heating (HVAC), insulation, window replacement, or landscaping. However, they do not undergo testing by the City of Santa Monica or the same competitive pre-qualification process that our Preferred Contractors do. To become a member of the Specialist Network, contractors must be licensed by the State of California, have no outstanding complaints filed against them with the Better Business Bureau, and have City of Santa Monica business licenses. The City of Santa Monica disclaims and does not accept responsibility for any contract or service entered into or performed by a Specialist. The City of Santa Monica provides this list of Specialists as a courtesy only. Your use of any Specialist is completely voluntary on your part. You are strongly encouraged to solicit bids from several contractors, whether or not they are included as part of the Specialist Network. You should always check licenses and references before entering into any contract. Participants of the Solar Santa Monica program who use Specialists will be asked to rate and review the products and services of the Specialists.
